About This Venue
On March 3, 2020, at 1am, an EF-3 tornado demolished the back and west walls and collapsed sections of the roof. Staff who had stayed late took shelter in the basement and survived. The venue reopened exactly one year later: March 4, 2021.
The Beast is what East Nashville needed between a bar show and a real theater — mid-sized, loose enough to feel neighborhood, big enough for touring indie and Americana bills that need a real room. Low Bar is downstairs when the show lets out.
