About This Venue
Mike Grimes built it out from the basement of his record store when he moved to 8th Ave in 2004. The venue is intimate by design — close crowd, no distance between the band and the bar. Releases, underplays, and locals who benefit from that kind of proximity.
The Basement East on Woodland Street is the bigger sibling. This is the venue where the night feels personal.
