Jason White & David Mead with Special Guest Daniel Tashian
Friday, September 25, 2026 · 7:00 PM · The Basement, 8th Ave South
The Read
This is the pop-literate, melody-first end of Nashville writing rather than the country-radio end. David Mead has a long history of making finely constructed guitar-pop; Daniel Tashian is a writer and producer with a hand in a great deal of what comes out of this town; Jason White brings the songwriter’s side of a career spent playing. Put them together on a small stage and the between-song context becomes as interesting as the material. The Basement holds very few people and has no separation between stage and floor. A seven o’clock start means an early, seated-adjacent, listening-room atmosphere rather than a bar show. Expect casual accompaniment, some cross-pollination, and a couple of songs performed in a stripped form because that is what the room supports.
The Room
The Basement
1604 8th Ave S
The smaller, original Basement — a low-ceiling room under what used to be Grimey's on 8th Avenue, where songwriter, roots, and rock bills feel thirty feet from the stage.
