Little Feat: The Last Farewell Tour featuring Maggie Rose
Thursday, September 10, 2026 · 7:30 PM · Ryman Auditorium, Downtown
The Read
Lowell George has been gone since 1979, and the band that carried on has spent decades proving the songs were bigger than any one member. The core appeal never changed: New Orleans syncopation grafted onto California rock, slide guitar, and grooves that sit slightly off the obvious beat in a way that makes people who cannot dance start trying. Nothing else quite sounds like it. Farewell tours invite skepticism, and they should. The counterargument is that this material has always been played rather than performed — long intros, real interplay, arrangements that leave room. Maggie Rose opens, which is a good use of the slot. The Ryman crowd will be older and will know exactly when the groove flips.
