Jonell Mosser has been a fixture of Nashville’s soul and roots scene for decades — the kind of vocalist who gets called for tribute nights and sessions precisely because she can take a familiar song somewhere unexpected without wrecking it. There is no trick to what she does. It is phrasing, control, and an unusual willingness to leave space where a lesser singer would fill it.
