About This Venue
The store moved to a former church on East Trinity Lane in 2015 — deep bins, a staff that knows their inventory, and an in-store calendar that still brings artists through who want to play for people who actually buy records. The Metallica show was released as 'Live at Grimey's' in 2010 and sold 3,000 copies its first week.
Grimey's is the record store that gave East Nashville its first real institution. The in-stores and release events they host are the closest thing Nashville has to a Rough Trade moment.
