The Read
The Time Jumpers started as a hang — a bunch of Nashville’s most in-demand studio musicians blowing off the week on their one night off — and never really stopped being one. The repertoire is western swing, fiddle tunes, and old country standards played by people who could do it in their sleep and pointedly don’t. Solos get passed around the stage like a plate at dinner. 3rd & Lindsley is a supper-club room with sightlines and a sound system, which suits a band this deep in players. Get there early enough to sit. This is the one Nashville Monday night that has outlasted every trend that tried to replace it, and the reason is simply that the playing is absurd.

One of Nashville's steadiest professional mid-sized rooms — just outside the Broadway crush, built for roots, session-player, and Americana bills.
