The Read
The Time Jumpers began as a hang — session players with nothing booked on a Monday, working through Bob Wills and Texas swing standards because the material is hard and the company was good. That origin still governs the show. There are twin fiddles, a steel guitar operated by someone who has forgotten more about it than most players learn, and solos handed around a stage full of people with nothing to prove. Vince Gill has long been part of the lineup, though the roster moves depending on who is off the road. Third & Lindsley gives them a proper room with tables and sightlines, which suits music built on arrangement rather than volume. It is a Monday. That is the whole point — this is the night nobody else is working.
