MercyMe are one of the few bands in the genre to write a song that escaped it entirely — “I Can Only Imagine” long ago outgrew the format it came from. Jeremy Camp brings a harder rock edge, and the two lower slots give the evening room to move between full-band worship and something closer to testimony. It is a long night with a clear architecture: build, quiet, build again. Bridgestone hosts this kind of bill regularly and the crowd knows the choreography — everyone stands for the same songs and sits for the same ones. Whether or not you share the theology, it is worth understanding as a form. This is one of the largest live-music economies in Nashville and it operates almost entirely outside the venues people write about. Seven o’clock, family crowd, out early.
