Lupita Infante
Sunday, November 29, 2026 · 8:00 PM · Marathon Music Works, Marathon Village
The Read
She is the granddaughter of Pedro Infante, which is roughly the equivalent of being a Hank Williams descendant here — an inheritance that can crush a career as easily as launch one. Her answer has been to work squarely inside ranchera and mariachi, singing the standards with a full ensemble and writing in the same idiom. It is a conservative choice made confidently, and the voice justifies it. Marathon Music Works is a converted industrial building with a big open floor, and mariachi arrangements fill that kind of space well — trumpets and violins were built for rooms with hard walls. A Sunday-night booking for an audience that does not often get this music at this scale in Nashville. Expect the crowd to sing along in full voice.
